Role Description This temporary, on-site Millwright role is located in Kitimat, BC, and focuses on supporting industrial construction and maintenance activities. The Millwright will install, align, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery, including pumps, conveyors, and related systems. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime. The role involves using hand tools and power tools to complete repairs, adjustments, and equipment overhauls according to safety standards and technical specifications. The Millwright will collaborate with other trades and supervisors, follow site-specific safety procedures, and document work performed and parts used.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with skills in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair of industrial equipment.
• Ability to diagnose issues efficiently using Troubleshooting skills in complex mechanical systems.
• Proficient and safe use of Power Tools and Hand Tools in industrial and construction settings.
• Certified Millwright (Red Seal or equivalent) or journeyperson status, or significant relevant experience in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Physically able to work in an industrial environment, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces or at heights, with appropriate safety equipment.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and in varying weather conditions as required by site operations.
