Salary: The annual salary offered is $70,000 per year.

Acquired by Tidan in 2018, this hotel is located in the heart of downtown Montreal. The Marriott Château Champlain is just a one-minute walk from the metro and is accessible via an underground passage adjacent to the Bell Centre. This iconic Montreal hotel was completely renovated in 2021 and features 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, and 25 meeting rooms, with the capacity to accommodate up to 1,000 guests. If you are looking for a stylish and modern work environment, join the inspiring team of one of Montreal’s largest downtown hotels.

Reporting to the Director of Front Office, the Assistant Front Office Manager supports the management and supervision of the Front Office’s daily operations. The incumbent ensures a high-quality guest experience, engages and supports the team, and contributes to achieving the department’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the Front Office team in daily operations;
Ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies, and procedures;
Oversee smooth and efficient guest check-in and check-out processes;
Handle special requests, guest complaints, and complex situations;
Coach, engage, and support team members;
Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective coordination of hotel operations;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of guest satisfaction;
Ensure continuity of operations in the absence of management.

Skills And Qualifications

Relevant experience in hotel Front Office operations and team supervision;
Strong leadership skills, autonomy, and an excellent customer service mindset;
Strong organizational and priority-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
Knowledge of Marriott PMS and software systems is an asset;
Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset;
Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field is an asset;
Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.

Education

Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.

Required Experience

3 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including at least 2 years in a similar position.

Languages

Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.
