Location: Pickering, ON
Duration: 12-month contract
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (4x10s)
Hourly Rate: $70–$80/hour
We are seeking an experienced Civil Assessor / Civil Maintainer to support nuclear project execution and civil maintenance activities in Pickering.
The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering, construction, maintenance, technical assessments, and work planning within nuclear environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform civil assessment, inspection, and maintenance-related activities.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate civil Work Plans and Work Packages.
- Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Review civil drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support civil maintenance, repairs, and modifications involving concrete structures, foundations, and structural steel.
- Identify civil deficiencies and support corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, maintenance, and QA/QC teams.
Requirements
- Background in Civil Engineering, Civil Construction, Civil Maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience in civil assessment, maintenance, construction, or work planning.
- Experience with Work Packages and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience in the nuclear sector.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or its vendors.
- Experience at Pickering or Darlington nuclear stations.
- Familiarity with OPG procedures.
- Experience with concrete, structural steel, foundations, and civil infrastructure maintenance.
