Mechanical Design Engineer – Bruce Power (PrEL Experience)

Location: Bruce County, Ontario

Rate: $65-80/ hr

12 month contract - with annual extensions

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Leader (PrEL) with Bruce Power experience for a mechanical design opportunity supporting ongoing nuclear projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Bruce Power processes, standards, and engineering requirements, with experience coordinating mechanical engineering activities within a nuclear environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design engineering activities for nuclear projects.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables, technical reviews, and design documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable nuclear codes, standards, and Bruce Power requirements.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, project management, and other technical teams.
• Apply knowledge of Bruce Power procedures, processes, and work practices to support project execution.
• Identify and resolve technical issues while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pre-Job Leader (PrEL) at Bruce Power.
• Mechanical engineering experience within the nuclear or power generation industry.
• Familiarity with Bruce Power engineering processes, procedures, and design requirements.
• Experience coordinating technical deliverables and working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
