Role Description The Mechanical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Motorcity Mitsubishi in Whitby, ON. In this position, the technician performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, following manufacturer and dealership standards. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, performing scheduled service, identifying mechanical issues, completing repair orders accurately, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety requirements. The role also involves communicating findings and recommendations to service advisors, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and using diagnostic tools and equipment effectively. The Mechanical Technician collaborates with the service team to support efficient operations and deliver a reliable, transparent experience for customers.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance to ensure reliable and safe vehicle performance.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce breakdowns and extend vehicle life.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair for mechanical, electrical, and drivetrain issues.
- Relevant technical training or certification in automotive service (e.g., licensed technician or apprentice status).
- Ability to interpret repair manuals, technical bulletins, and diagnostic reports.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all regulatory and dealership standards.
- Effective communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is an asset.
