Our combined Sociology and Anthropology department hosts faculty who pursue diverse research and teaching interests but work collaboratively to ensure the success of both disciplines. In our four-field Anthropology department-unit, we emphasize experiential learning, including international field schools, local field trips, as well as ethnographic and laboratory methods. Department facilities include both research and teaching laboratories staffed by a laboratory instructor and a laboratory coordinator. About The Role

Holding an excavation permit, or the ability to obtain one, in Canada is an asset but not required. A PhD in archaeology or anthropology at the time of hire is desired, but candidates near completion will be considered.
