Original job description

Lead, Inspire, Build and Motivate

At MOVATI Athletic, we believe in leading with purpose. Our high-performance teams deliver on the promise we make to our members: to feel welcome, feel comfortable, and feel healthy every time they walk through our doors.

We’re not looking for average - because we’re not your average Club. MOVATI Athletic’s goal is to be recognized as North America’s premier affordable luxury fitness brand. As our Assistant General Manager (AGM), you hold one of the most impactful roles in the Club. We’ll say it clearly: we’re looking for a brand ambassador and proven operations leader who embodies our values and brings them to life daily.

Our values are rooted in Care, strengthened through Work Ethic and Authenticity, and reflected in our celebration of Diversity and our Commitment to a healthy, supportive work culture. It’s a lot, but that’s intentional. Since 1997, these values have been the foundation of Movati Athletic and the reason we continue to grow, succeed, and stand apart.

Role
The Assistant General Manager is an experienced, people-focused leader who reports directly to the General Manager. You’ll coach, develop, and motivate team members to achieve sales and service goals while maintaining a best-in-class member experience.

You will oversee multiple departments, providing clear direction, operational oversight, and consistent feedback to ensure team members have the tools, support, and encouragement they need to grow their careers with MOVATI Athletic.

People are at the core of everything we do. As AGM, you’ll serve as the example of what success looks like, creating, sustaining, and elevating a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and servant leadership. You’ll provide strong leadership across customer service, team development, operational management, and sales performance. You will also partner closely with the GM and People & Culture team on recruitment and talent selection for all Club positions.

At MOVATI Athletic, you’ll quickly learn that rolling up your sleeves is key to ensuring the Club runs at its best. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, is comfortable juggling competing priorities, and is always ready for a challenge. You will play a key role in the annual business planning process and support the GM with reviewing Club P&L statements, developing action plans, and driving results.

Annual salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 + Bonus Eligibility

The posting is for an existing, currently open position.

The compensation will be determined based on experience, skills set, education and training, and other organizational needs.

Qualifications
We know great leaders come from a variety of industries. We’re looking for 3+ years of experience leading, motivating, and coaching high-performing teams. When we meet, we expect you’ll be able to clearly articulate how you’ve delivered operational success, member or customer growth, and impactful team leadership in your past roles.

Perks
We offer a competitive total compensation package that includes an industry leading base salary, short-term incentive plan, group benefits, complimentary membership, and leadership training to help ensure you are always learning. Our promise at Movati is to help you feel welcome, feel comfortable and feel healthy.

Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
