Director of Operations About MrBlack App MrBlack App is a fast-growing, bootstrapped SaaS company building the operating platform for nightlife and hospitality businesses. Our platform helps nightclubs, lounges, festivals, and hospitality groups manage reservations, guest lists, ticketing, CRM, payments, marketing, promoter tracking, communications, and venue operations from one system. We’re looking for a Director of Operations to work directly with the CEO and help build the operational foundation for our next stage of growth. This is not a traditional corporate operations role. We want someone who can look at a growing company, identify what is inefficient or missing, and then take ownership of fixing it. The Role As Director of Operations, you will be responsible for making MrBlack App operate more efficiently as we scale. You will work across product, development, customer success, sales, partnerships, and leadership to turn company priorities into execution. Some processes already exist. Others need to be improved, automated, documented, or built from scratch. You should be equally comfortable thinking strategically and getting directly involved when something needs to get done. What You'll Own Operational Systems & Processes: Identify bottlenecks and build scalable processes, SOPs, workflows, and internal systems. Cross-Department Execution: Make sure priorities involving multiple teams actually move forward and don't get stuck between departments. Customer Onboarding: Improve and automate how new venues are onboarded, reducing unnecessary manual work while creating a better customer experience. MrBlack University: Build a structured self-service education and training system for customers, including role-specific learning paths and onboarding progress. Integrations & Partnerships: Coordinate conversations and projects with POS companies, payment providers, technology partners, and other third parties. Internal Automation: Identify repetitive work across the company and determine how it can be automated or eliminated. Accountability & Reporting: Establish clear owners, deadlines, KPIs, and reporting around important company initiatives. Special Projects: Take ownership of high-priority initiatives that don't neatly belong to one department. Scaling the Company: Help build the operational infrastructure required for MrBlack App to grow without adding unnecessary bureaucracy or headcount. You should be: Highly organized and execution-focused Comfortable operating with significant autonomy Strong at turning ambiguous problems into clear plans Able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously Comfortable working directly with developers and technical teams An excellent communicator with customers, employees, executives, and external partners Obsessed with efficiency and process improvement Comfortable challenging existing processes when there's a better way Able to move quickly without sacrificing attention to detail Willing to get hands-on instead of simply delegating Experienced in SaaS, technology, hospitality technology, operations, or another fast-moving environment Why Join MrBlack App? Move Fast Good ideas don't need to travel through five committees and three layers of management. We're small enough to make decisions quickly and implement them. Broad Experience You'll gain exposure to product, engineering, customer success, sales, payments, POS integrations, partnerships, finance, hiring, and company strategy. Few roles at established companies provide this much visibility into how an entire technology company operates. Build Instead of Maintain Large companies often hire operations leaders to maintain existing systems. At MrBlack App, you'll have the opportunity to design them. You'll be able to look back and say, "I built that." Grow With the Company We're building for the long term. As MrBlack App grows, the scope and responsibility of this position can grow with it.
