Create the Fit a Bride Will Remember Forever

At Mrs. P Stitches, we transform beautiful gowns into dresses that feel made for each bride. Our bridal alterations and customization atelier specializes in precise fit, beautiful finishing and thoughtful gown transformations.

We’re looking for an experienced Bridal Seamstress / Alterations Specialist who takes pride in exceptional craftsmanship. This hands-on, production-focused role is ideal for someone with strong garment-construction skills who believes the inside of a gown deserves as much care as the outside.

What You’ll Do

Complete standard and advanced bridal alterations, including:

  • Bodice, side-seam, strap, shoulder, neckline and sleeve adjustments
  • Bridal hems, multi-layer skirts, trains and bustles
  • Cups, boning, corsets and structured bodices
  • Zippers, closures and linings
  • Lace, appliqué, beading and detailed hand sewing
  • Invisible and couture-style finishing on delicate bridal fabrics, including lace, tulle, satin, silk, chiffon and organza

You’ll follow fitting notes and production instructions, preserve each gown’s design and structure, and raise construction concerns or unclear instructions before proceeding. You’ll also inspect your work before final quality control, protect gowns throughout production, maintain an organized workspace and collaborate with our Head Seamstress, fitting team and production team.

What You’ll Bring
  • Professional experience in bridal alterations or similarly complex garments
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit and finishing
  • Confidence using industrial and domestic sewing machines and sergers
  • Skilled hand sewing and experience with delicate fabrics, embellishments, structured bodices and multi-layer gowns
  • Excellent attention to detail, technical judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Reliability, ownership of your work and respect for production timelines
  • A calm, collaborative approach, clear communication and openness to quality feedback

Bridal alterations experience is strongly preferred. Relevant professional experience in couture, eveningwear, costume or luxury garment construction will also be considered.

Why Join Us?

At Mrs. P Stitches, seamstresses are valued as skilled professionals. We prioritize precision and beautiful finishing, with varied, technically challenging gowns that offer opportunities to deepen your bridal expertise.

Your craftsmanship will directly shape how each bride looks and feels during one of the most memorable moments of her life.

Benefits include:

  • Extended health care
  • Life insurance
  • Vision care

  • How to Apply

Complete our Bridal Seamstress Application Form.

    Please be prepared to share:

    • Your résumé or a summary of your professional sewing experience, including relevant bridal, formalwear or garment-construction work
    • Photos or a portfolio, if available
    • Your current availability and preferred schedule

Applications are accepted online only. We cannot accommodate phone or in-person applications. Due to the volume of applications, we may be unable to respond to everyone. We will contact you directly if we wish to move forward.

Accommodations are available on request throughout the hiring process.

If you take pride in precision, beautiful craftsmanship and bridal work, we’d love to hear from you.
