Original job description

The Campus Director leads day-to-day operations at the campus and is accountable for regulatory compliance, academic delivery, student experience, and campus performance. The role serves as College's primary institutional contact with the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) and other oversight bodies, and works closely with admissions, academic, practicum, and student services teams across the MSM Unify network.

Key responsibilities

Regulatory compliance and quality assurance

Maintain College's PTIRU certification and Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation, including annual reporting, program applications and changes, and audit readiness.
Ensure compliance with IRCC Designated Learning Institution (DLI) obligations, including international student compliance reporting.
Oversee compliance with external program requirements, such as the BC Care Aide Registry (HCA), BCCNM (LPN), IATA, and DQAB where applicable.
Maintain institutional policies, student records, enrolment contracts, and complaint and refund processes in line with the Private Training Act and Regulation.

Academic operations

Oversee program delivery, scheduling, and instructional quality in partnership with program heads and faculty.
Support new program development, curriculum review, and accreditation submissions.
Oversee practicum and co-op placements, ensuring work-experience components meet regulatory ratios and requirements.

Student experience and success

Lead student services, including orientation, advising, retention, and graduate outcomes.
Resolve escalated student concerns and formal complaints fairly and within required timelines.
Monitor attendance, academic progress, and completion data, acting early on at-risk students.

People leadership

Recruit, supervise, and develop campus staff and instructors, and ensure instructor qualifications meet PTIRU and program standards.
Build a professional, accountable, and student-centred campus culture.

Operations and business performance

Manage the campus budget, facilities, health and safety, and vendor relationships.
Track enrolment, retention, and financial KPIs, and report regularly to senior leadership.
Build partnerships with employers, health authorities, industry associations, and community organizations.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, or a related field (master's preferred).
5+ years of progressive leadership experience in post-secondary education, including at least 3 years in a management role.
Working knowledge of BC's Private Training Act and PTIRU requirements.
Experience with international student programs and DLI compliance.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and prepare regulatory submissions.
Can attend virtual meetings and calls after office hours.

Preferred

Experience in a BC private training institution.
Familiarity with healthcare program regulation (BC Care Aide Registry, BCCNM) or co-op/practicum compliance.
Experience with student information systems and data reporting.

Core competencies

Sound judgment on compliance matters, with high attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication with regulators, students, and staff.
Ability to manage competing priorities across a multi-brand organization.
