- Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
- Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
- Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair
- Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
- Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal
- Position heated or cooled metal pieces on die of press or other forging machinery
- Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions

Responsibilities
Operate metalworking and forging machinery to cut, bend, shape, and form metal stock into parts or products. Inspect finished products against specifications, maintain and lubricate equipment, and investigate problems or perform minor repairs.
Requirements
Requires a registered apprenticeship certificate and 1 to less than 2 years of experience in metal forming or shaping, including bending. Candidates should be organized team players with attention to detail and manual dexterity, and be able to handle heavy loads in a fast-paced environment.
