Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineering professional to design, develop, and support enterprise applications leveraging Microsoft Power Platform technologies. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, drive delivery of scalable business solutions, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to enable operational efficiency, data-driven decision making, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Power Platform Development
- Develop and support Power Apps (Canvas Apps) for business process automation and data management.
- Build solutions using Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, and other enterprise data sources.
- Design and maintain Power Automate workflows and integrations.
- Implement reusable components, Power Fx-logic, and application best practices.
Solution Delivery
- Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Follow Power Platform governance, security, and development best practices.
Governance and Security
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Participation in architecture reviews and technology governance processes.
- Support audit, risk, and compliance initiatives related to application development and data management.
- Promote secure development practices and Power Platform governance standards.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable business insights.
- Design data models and transformations to support reporting requirements.
- Create and maintain SSRS reports as needed.
Data & Integration
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
- Support ETL processes using SSIS.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise databases and business systems.
Required Qualifications
- 5-6 years of Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power BI.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge; experience with SSIS, SSRS, and legacy Microsoft reporting technologies is an asset.
- Experience working with SharePoint, SQL Server, Dataverse, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.
- Exposure to AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms is an asset.
- Knowledge of AI, Generative AI, and related enterprise use cases is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power Platform ALM, solution management, environment administration and governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
- Experience delivering solutions in large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management, KYC, Cybersecurity, and Change Management frameworks, particularly within banking or highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting regulated financial services environments.
- Knowledge of data governance and information security standards.
