Position Overview:

Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is looking for an experienced Service Advisor and “Fly in Doctor” with an expertise in Field Service Support, automotive repair and manufacturing.

The Service Advisor will act as the liaison between dealerships, customers and the supplier/manufacturer while effectively diagnosing vehicle service issues and managing repair timelines either remotely or on-site. The successful candidate must be able to effectively organize incoming concerns and communicate the customer’s vehicle requirements so that tasks are executed in an accurate and timely manner. They must also be able to source parts and organize shipments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform vehicle repairs in house and at offsite locations
Ability to travel domestically or internationally for work if necessary
Assist with diagnosis and supervise repairs remotely at dealerships around the World as a “Fly in Doctor”
Comply with relevant local Health and Safety legislation and company Health and Safety Policies
Be the main point of contact between the company, the dealerships, and the customers
Identify and record any issues related to service and warranty and organize/communicate them in a way that deliverables can be tracked, and closure can be expedited
Document and summarize activities and status to keep teams and management informed
Consult with the manufacturing team regarding necessary repairs or service part builds
Determine the cost and timeline for vehicle service / repairs and prepare Estimates
Document incoming repairs photographically and in written reports
Submission of claims for vehicle/part warranty, shipment expediting, and/or other repairs
Order all parts as required and organize their movement to the intended locations including all necessary paperwork
Manage, coordinate and prioritize several activities with flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
Managing part number revisions and updating various systems to keep them aligned and current while staying on top of pricing updates
Owning the Service Bill of Materials and maintaining it as required to keep up with changes
Reviewing and updating Workshop Manuals and other service documentation to capture lessons learned and improve communication
Other duties as defined by the leadership team

Education and Experience:

Must have expert level professional vehicle maintenance/repair and customer service experience
Minimum 5 years in the automotive industry ideally including Dealership Service Department experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to adapt communications to account for sensitivity of information
Ability to understand and exercise cultural etiquette as required when travelling
Ability to work in a team-based environment as well as establish and maintain cooperative working relationships between the customers and supplier/manufacturer
Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills to perform the job successfully and independently
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Bonus if proficient in CQIS, CAD Software, PTS, OWS, Ariba, SAP, Covisint, MicroCat

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:

$47,424.00 - $87,000.00
