We are looking for a proactive, high-energy, and results-driven National Account Manager – US Growth Channels to lead business development efforts, open new distribution channels, and champion our sustainable product lines across the US market.

What We Do

Multy operates in a high-volume manufacturing and distribution environment, producing industry-leading Flooring Solutions alongside market-leading Outdoor Living and Garden Collections (including recycled rubber planters, garden edging, composite decking, and decorative privacy panels).

This is a high-impact commercial opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who thrives on hunting new business, building strong buyer partnerships, and pitching differentiated, eco-friendly product programs across emerging and diversified US retail, co-op, regional, and specialty accounts.

The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder and skilled negotiator who can uncover new market opportunities, lead winning product line reviews (PLRs), navigate retail math and vendor operations with confidence, and collaborate cross-functionally with operations and supply chain to deliver exceptional customer results.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Hunting: Actively prospect, pitch, and secure new retail and wholesale distribution agreements across target US growth channels - including Hardware Co-ops, Farm & Fleet, Regional Home Improvement, Specialty Retail, and Independent Wholesale/Commercial networks (beyond traditional Tier-1 mass retail).
Strategic Account Growth: Build, manage, and nurture long-term relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and key stakeholders to drive mutual revenue and margin expansion.
Product Line Reviews (PLRs): Own the end-to-end planning, presentation, assortment strategy, and commercial pricing execution for all assigned retailer line reviews and modular updates across flooring and outdoor categories.
Channel & Assortment Strategy: Analyze consumer trends, marketplace conditions, and competitor activities to develop compelling product segmentation strategies and tailored value propositions for diverse retail tiers.
Forecasting & Revenue Planning: Develop and manage sales budgets, rolling demand forecasts, and monthly status reports to support inventory planning, high fill rates, and customer operational scorecards.
Trade Shows & Industry Presence: Represent Multy Home at major North American industry conventions, regional buying markets, trade shows (e.g., National Hardware Show), and buyer events to expand brand presence and generate qualified pipelines.
Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate seamlessly with Executive Leadership, Product Development, Demand Planning, Logistics, and Plant Operations to ensure flawless on-time delivery of customer programs.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Education: University degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of proven sales, account management, and business development experience selling manufactured consumer goods into US retail or wholesale channels.
Target Account Acumen: Experience prospecting and managing accounts across mid-tier retail, hardware co-ops, regional chains, farm & fleet, or specialty networks; ability to adapt pitches to varied customer business models.
Proven Hunter Track Record: Demonstrated success in opening new doors, securing vendor agreements, and expanding product placement across US distribution networks.
Line Review & Retail Acumen: Solid experience leading buyer line reviews, margin/pricing negotiations, and program rollouts; strong grasp of retail math and promotional planning.
Cross-Border Commercial Knowledge: Familiarity with US retail vendor compliance, EDI protocols, freight/shipping terms (FOB/DDP), and retailer analytics/portals (e.g., CommerceHub, SPS Commerce, POS data).
Soft Skills: Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills; high adaptability, self-direction, and a collaborative team mindset.
Mobility & Travel: Valid passport and eligibility for cross-border business travel into the United States (approx. 20–30% travel required for buyer meetings, store walks, and trade shows).

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Role operates in a hybrid corporate office environment based out of Concord, ON, with regular collaboration alongside internal cross-functional teams.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally across the United States as required by business needs.
Ability to lift, handle, and transport product samples and display fixtures for trade shows, line reviews, and buyer presentations (up to 35 lbs.)
