Who We Are

At Multy, we believe waste is not the end of a material’s life, it’s the beginning of something better.

For more than 30 years, Multy has combined material science, design, and manufacturing expertise to transform landfill-diverted materials into durable, innovative products for homes, gardens, and beyond. Today, we are a growing global organization focused on sustainable innovation, circular manufacturing, and finding better ways to use materials, diverting over 3 million tires and 15 million water bottles from landfills every year.

Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating purchasing activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and reliable procurement of materials, products, and services required to support Multy’s operations. This role works closely with internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain optimal inventory levels, strengthen supplier relationships, negotiate competitive pricing, and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with strong negotiation and communication skills. They will proactively identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor supplier performance, manage purchase orders, and help drive continuous improvements across the procurement and supply chain processes. This position plays an important role in ensuring operational efficiency, product availability, and overall cost management.

  • Inbound Delivery Scheduling: Schedule and expedite inbound shipments of materials to match production consumption schedules, preventing both stockouts and warehouse congestion.
  • Inventory Control & Safety Stock: Monitor stock levels of raw materials, components, and packaging; maintain appropriate min/max safety stock buffers in the ERP system to balance working capital with line uptime.

3. Supplier Management & Commercial Support

  • Sourcing & Quotations: Support the Sourcing Department by soliciting quotes (RFQs), identifying potential new suppliers, evaluating cost/quality parameters, and assisting in the onboarding of alternate vendors.
  • Contract Support & Negotiations: Assist in commercial negotiations with vendors for standard pricing, lead times, payment terms, and volume tiering; execute day-to-day spot-buys for specialized materials when needed.
  • Supplier Performance & Scorecards: Maintain and update Vendor Scorecards tracking key metrics (On-Time Delivery, In-Full rates, quality compliance, and invoice accuracy) in collaboration with Sourcing and Supply Planning.
  • Non-Conformance & Claims: Investigate, process, and track supplier non-conformance claims, price discrepancies, and quality rejections, securing credits or replacement materials promptly.

4. Cross-Functional Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Operational Alignment: Collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Warehouse/Distribution, Sourcing, and Quality Assurance to maintain end-to-end visibility of material flows and production commitments.
  • Process & ERP Optimization: Assist in refining procurement workflows, master data accuracy (lead times, MOQs, standard costs), and ERP/MRP parameters to drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Safety: Conduct all day-to-day duties in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, environmental guidelines, and Multy Home quality policies.
