Who We Are
At Multy, we believe waste is not the end of a material’s life, it’s the beginning of something better.
For more than 30 years, Multy has combined material science, design, and manufacturing expertise to transform landfill-diverted materials into durable, innovative products for homes, gardens, and beyond. Today, we are a growing global organization focused on sustainable innovation, circular manufacturing, and finding better ways to use materials, diverting over 3 million tires and 15 million water bottles from landfills every year.
Position Summary:
At the intersection of market demand and manufacturing reality, the Senior Sales Analyst plays a critical commercial role in driving revenue and optimizing retail execution. This position is not merely about pulling reports; it is about translating complex retailer and internal vendor datasets into actionable strategies that maximize sell-through and protect margins.
The ideal candidate is an evidence-based strategist who will partner directly with Sales Leadership to build data-first Joint Business Plans (JBPs), lead high-impact presentations at Sales Rallies, and conduct rigorous post-mortems on seasonal and 365 (everyday) programs. Beyond analytics, this role owns the end-to-end order management flow for major DIY retailers, tracks the commercial Sales Pledge, and serves as a mentor and coach to the Sales Administrator to elevate overall operational capability
Key Responsibilities
Data-First Insights & Joint Business Planning (JBP)
- Insights into Action: Merge POS data from retailer portals with internal ERP/vendor shipping data to uncover whitespace opportunities, identify underperforming categories, and deliver concrete corrective action plans.
- JBP Creation & Maintenance: Partner with Sales Directors to build, validate, and track data-driven Joint Business Plans (JBPs). Ensure all growth targets, pricing strategies, and volume commitments are rooted in robust historical performance and predictive modeling.
- Sales Pledge Management: Lead the development, maintenance, and tracking of the commercial Sales Pledge (commercial forecast commitments). Bridge the gap between sales projections and operational reality to align production capacity with actual demand.
- High-Impact Communication: Prepare and present compelling, visually digestible analytical decks for internal Sales Rallies and executive business reviews, translating data trends into clear commercial priorities.
DIY End-to-End Order Management & Compliance
- DIY Order-to-Cash Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end order execution flow specifically tailored to the unique demands of DIY retailers (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards), ensuring seamless order routing, scheduling, and fulfillment.
- Vendor Compliance & OTIF: Monitor and proactively manage retailer compliance scorecards. Identify and resolve bottlenecks to eliminate OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) penalties, shipping errors, and administrative deductions (Gross-to-Net leakage).
- Portal Mastery: Act as the super-user and primary administrator for retailer platforms (e.g., Home Depot Link, Lowe's Portal), maintaining absolute data integrity across item setups, pricing matrices, and promotional submissions.
Program Post-Mortems & Commercial Analytics
- Seasonal vs. 365 Post-Mortems: Conduct deep-dive post-mortems on seasonal programs (e.g., Spring/Holiday promos) and 365 core programs. Analyze sell-through velocity, markdown exposure, inventory carry costs, and net margin contribution to guide future program placements.
- Promotion & ROI Analysis: Audit promotional events and pricing adjustments to measure absolute volume lift versus margin dilution, ensuring every commercial activity delivers profitable growth.
- Inventory Health Tracking: Proactively flag inventory risks (e.g., slow-moving inventory, impending out of-stocks) and collaborate with Account Managers on remediation strategies like promotional markdowns or product transitions.
Mentorship, Training & Process Optimization
- Sales Administrator Development: Serve as a direct mentor and coach to the Sales Administrator. Provide hands-on training on portal navigation, item setup best practices, and standard order processing flows to scale team capability.
- SOP Standardization: Author and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key sales operations workflows, portal maintenance, and compliance reconciliation.
- Process Efficiency: Identify friction points in the order-to-cash process and implement technology or workflow enhancements to reduce manual overhead and administrative errors.
Cross-Functional S&OP Integration
- S&OP Representation: Serve as the strategic bridge between Sales, Supply Chain, Production, and Finance.
- Capacity Alignment: Ensure the commercial Sales Pledge is translated accurately into production schedules and demand planning models to avoid both inventory write-offs and supply constraints.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Category Management, or Commercial Analysis within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or Durable Goods industries (Home & Garden or Building Materials category experience is highly preferred).
- DIY Retail Expertise: Direct experience managing portals, compliance, and ordering mechanisms for major DIY retailers (specifically Home Depot Link, Lowe’s Link, or similar merchant/vendor networks).
- Analytical Powerhouse: Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, advanced modeling) and PowerBI. Proven ability to build dashboards that translate raw data into clear commercial actions.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of "Gross-to-Net" financial concepts, including deductions, co-op advertising, freight impacts, and first-cost vs. landed-cost calculations.
- Leadership & Influence: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently present to senior executives, lead discussions at sales rallies, and effectively train/mentor junior staff.
Technical Skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, macros, and advanced formulas).
- Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is highly preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of retailer portals and EDI workflows.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Corporate hybrid work schedule.
- Will be required to visit the Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Sample room areas from time to time and must adhere to all applicable health and safety policies (PPE, safety footwear).
What You Can Expect at Multy
- Comprehensive Benefits: Fully paid health, dental, and medical benefits coverage (following standard eligibility).
- Retirement Planning: Company retirement savings program with employer matching opportunities.
- Work-Life Balance: Generous paid vacation entitlement and hybrid workplace flexibility.
- Growth & Impact: A high-visibility leadership role with direct opportunity to optimize processes, build team capabilities, and contribute to business scalability.
- Purpose-Driven Culture: The opportunity to be part of an industry leader in sustainability and circular manufacturing that diverts millions of pounds of waste from landfills each year.

Accommodations are available upon request throughout the recruitment and selection process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
