Join Our Team at Murphy's Pharmacies!

At Murphy's Pharmacies, we're redefining the role of independent Community pharmacy in our healthcare system, and we're looking for passionate Pharmacy Assistants to join our team and make our shared vision come to life!

We've been Island family-owned and operated for over 44 years, with locations across Prince Edward Island and beyond.

Re-energize your professional career!

We Focus on Patient Care: We've implemented central fill to process refills, built support teams that do prescription data entry and clinical validation, handle phone calls and schedule pharmacy services appointments. Pharmacy Assistants play a key role in client care in our pharmacies.

Work-Life Balance: We're not open late or have extended hours on weekends, so our teams can enjoy everything that life has to offer on beautiful Prince Edward Island.

If you're a like-minded Pharmacy Assistant who wants to make a real difference in people's lives, we'd love to hear from you!

What You Will Bring To The Team

Inventory Management

Receive, stock, and organize medications and health supplies

Track expiration dates and manage returns or waste in compliance with regulations

Monitor stock levels and help with order preparation

Administrative Duties

Maintain patient records and filing systems

Assist in managing faxes and coordinating follow-ups

You may be required to travel to other Murphy's Pharmacy locations within the Western area.

In addition to what makes you unique, there are a few basics that we require for this role:

Previous community pharmacy experience is preferred

A passion for community pharmacy practice

Dedication to client care and making people’s lives better

What We Offer

We offer a very competitive compensation package that includes a pension plan, comprehensive health, mental health, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Additionally, we provide a subsidized fitness membership and exclusive discounts with local companies, helping you save on meals, retail products, and home heating oil. Please note that the level of benefits will depend on whether your employment with us is on a temporary or permanent basis.

We may not be perfect, but we strive to create a supportive and rewarding work environment. We're proud to say that many of our team members have been with us for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and even 40 years.
