Job Summary: Musashi Auto Parts Canada in Arthur, Ontario is hiring a Machine Design Associate – Controls. The Machine Design Associate – Controls is responsible for the electrical, safety and motion controls of automation equipment. Automation ranges from assembly machines, CNC loading devices, press machines, transfer equipment, and in-feed/out-feed stations. Reports to: Senior Manager, Technical Qualifications:
- Electrical engineering degree OR Electrical Electronics Technologist
- Valid P. Eng license or EIT/OCETT
- AutoCAD electrical experience.
- PLC Programming experience.
- Experience with CSA/PSHR requirements for safeguarding of equipment Company Standards:
- Uphold company policies.
- Follow all safety procedures & instructions.
- Actively involved in company and department goals.
- Follow Musashi’s “5’s” principles, quality, environmental, and health & safety systems.
- Interact with all Musashi working peers in a respectful and pleasant manner. Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare specification for automation projects as related to Musashi parts and engineering specs.
- Create AutoCAD/ Solid Works drawings for electrical wiring, and data and communications.
- Create and prepare PLC programs for motion control of the automation projects.
- Prepare Bill of Materials for automation projects.
- Work with the machine builders to wire panels and test machinery.
- Test and commission new automation in preparation for mass production.
- Attend annual health and safety training including (but not limited to) WHMIS, and Lockout Tag-out. Personal Skills:
