We've just landed two major City of Winnipeg contracts; Area 1 Residential Cart Collection and City-Wide Multifamily Recycling and we're moving into a state-of-the-art shop to maintain and repair a fleet of 50+ new trucks. Are you passionate about working with heavy equipment, trucks, and diesel engines? We are growing our maintenance team and are looking for individuals at all experience levels, including:
- Red Seal Diesel Technicians
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics
- Registered Apprentices (all levels)
- Mechanically inclined individuals interested in beginning an apprenticeship and attending trade school

Qualifications
Experienced Technicians
- Red Seal Certification, Journeyperson status, or apprenticeship registration
- Experience working on waste and recycling equipment
- Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy trucks
- Strong diagnostic, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience working on hydraulics and electrical systems
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Apprentices & Entry-Level Candidates
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with tools, automotive repair, farming equipment, construction equipment, welding, or related mechanical work is considered an asset
- Reliable and self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Interest in pursuing a Heavy-Duty Equipment or Heavy-Duty Truck and Transport Technician certificate or apprenticeship
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining an uncompromised commitment to Safety for yourself and the people around you.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled services
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems
- Complete work orders and maintain service records
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and troubleshoot problems while also working effectively with other members of the team.
- Continue developing technical skills through ongoing training and apprenticeship opportunities
