Original job description

English section of this bilingual listing.

MXA Talent Solutions is recruiting a Customer Advocate II for an established manufacturing environment in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. This role is ideal for a bilingual customer service professional who is highly organized, proactive, resilient, and able to learn quickly in a complex operational setting.

You will manage customer orders from initial request through delivery while serving as a key link between customers, sales, production, logistics, accounts receivable, and other internal teams. Success in this position comes from strong follow-through, sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to solve problems before they impact the customer.

What MXA Is Looking For

Fluent bilingual communication in French and English, both written and verbal. The Saint-Hyacinthe team is the only French-speaking customer service team in North America, and the role communicates with customers and colleagues across Canada and the United States.
Strong customer-facing experience and the ability to build trust with customers and sales partners while managing changing expectations.
Experience with order management or the full order lifecycle, ideally including fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, production coordination, or shipping.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple customer accounts, deadlines, documents, and priorities at the same time.
A fast learner who can absorb a significant amount of process and customer knowledge during the training period.
A proactive, resilient problem solver who can identify issues, investigate root causes, adjust plans, and keep customers informed when delays, quality concerns, shortages, or changes occur.
Comfort working with customer credit evaluation, pricing, quotes, and account information in partnership with accounts receivable and internal teams.
Printing or packaging industry experience is an asset, but it is not required. Strong transferable experience in customer service, order management, logistics, supply chain, or production is more important.

Key Responsibilities

Open and maintain customer accounts, including customer information and credit evaluation in collaboration with accounts receivable.
Manage customer orders through the full lifecycle, from entry and confirmation through production, shipping, delivery, invoicing, and closure.
Prepare and manage price quotes, bids, customer documents, graphic requests, and related versions or updates.
Maintain proactive communication with customers and the sales team, providing clear updates on order status, timing, changes, and potential risks.
Coordinate closely with production and internal departments to align customer expectations with manufacturing realities and delivery timelines.
Investigate and resolve customer issues involving order changes, delivery delays, quality concerns, inventory shortages, returns, or shipment problems.
Use practical judgment to solve day-to-day customer problems and escalate to the manager when needed.
Maintain accurate customer, item, pricing, inventory, order, and shipping information within internal systems and tools.
Provide customers with relevant reporting on order status, inventory, available stock, and other service information.
Work collaboratively as part of a small team, share knowledge, provide backup support, and contribute to continuous improvement.

What You Bring

Approximately 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in customer service, sales support, order management, logistics, supply chain, administration, or a related environment.
Excellent French and strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional internal partners.
Exposure to order fulfillment, production, logistics, shipping, inventory, or supply chain processes is strongly preferred.
Comfort working with customer account information, credit-related processes, pricing, quotes, and documentation.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn multiple business systems and platforms quickly.
Excellent organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities and customer needs can change quickly.
Self-starter mentality with initiative, diplomacy, resilience, and a solution-focused approach.
College diploma in Business Administration or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Training and Work Environment

The initial training period will be fully on site in Saint-Hyacinthe due to the amount of customer, process, and operational knowledge required for the role. The training period may take approximately three months depending on the individual's experience and learning pace. Hybrid work may become available after training, subject to performance, readiness, and business needs.

This role is part of a small customer service team and requires close collaboration with the plant, sales, production, and support functions. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable asking questions, learning quickly, and taking increasing ownership as they build knowledge of the customers and operation.

L’occasion
