MyEngene Canada Inc. | Genome Alberta Business Development Work Placement

Location: Calgary, Alberta (hybrid)

Term: 12-month full-time position

Start date: January 2027 (flexible)

Salary: $75,000

Reports to: Chairman and CEO

About MyEngene

MyEngene is a Calgary-based precision medicine company working to reduce adverse drug reactions with pharmacogenomics, the study of how a person's genes affect their response to medications. We have two platforms:

  • PGxIQ is an AI-powered pharmacovigilance platform that gives pharmacists and prescribers evidence-linked pharmacogenomic information drawn from a patient's medication list, with no genetic test required.
  • PGxME turns a patient's genetic test results into a pharmacogenomic report that healthcare professionals can use to inform prescribing.

We are preparing to launch in Alberta community pharmacies, continuing care, and group health plans.

What you will do

  • Build and manage our sales pipeline across community pharmacies, continuing care operators, and group health plan administrators.
  • Research and qualify prospects, book introductory meetings, and coordinate product demonstrations.
  • Use approved marketing materials in your outreach, working with our marketing lead on campaigns and with our clinical science team on scientific content.
  • Feed customer questions and market feedback back to the marketing and clinical science teams.
  • Support events, webinars, and conference attendance.
  • Keep HubSpot, our CRM, up to date with leads, contacts, and activity, and report on pipeline progress.
  • Help prepare partnership proposals and funding applications.
  • Monitor competitors and market trends in pharmacogenomics and digital health.

What you bring

  • A degree or diploma from an Alberta post-secondary institution, completed in 2024 or later, in business, marketing, commerce, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Confidence reaching out to new contacts and following up.
  • Comfort with CRM tools such as HubSpot, social media, and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Comfort using AI tools for research and prospecting.
  • An interest in healthcare, pharmacy, or health technology. A science or pharmacy background is an asset.

What to expect

  • Entrepreneurial culture
  • Results-driven organization
  • Supportive learning environments
  • Dynamic and innovative
  • Collaborative and close-knit
  • Strong trajectory to grow; all hands-on deck
