ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager (Division Manager) for a construction industry-based leadership role. Operations Manager oversees business operations of WPE’s Nisku Office by managing day-to-day operations, maintaining and developing client relationships, completing detailed estimates and estimate reviews, as well as responsibility for overall group P&L and recruiting/developing personnel for ongoing and future projects. The role is full time and based in our Nisku, AB office.

Essential Functions
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and developing an operational teams, managing a group of project managers, managing estimating opportunities and processes, managing project schedules, supporting financial planning and reporting, and driving overall business performance. Business development, adding new clients along with managing existing ones will be a key area of focus. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, scheduling expertise, and a solid understanding of electrical construction operations.
- Ensure organizational safety expectations are met by all employees
- Monitor the financial performance and production of projects
- Ensure contractual compliance for current and future projects
- Develop, strengthen, and maintain long lasting client relationships
- Pursue business growth opportunities
- Advise staff of company policy expectations
- Lead, direct, and audit the work of assigned staff; act as a mentor
- Coordinate employee performance reviews
- Facilitate and enforce company policies and procedures
- Regular and predictable attendance at WPE Nisku office
- Other duties as assigned
ABOUT YOUQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience (5+ years' in a leadership role within the construction or utilities industry)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong commitment to safety and the ability to develop a solid safety culture with subordinates
- Excellent salesmanship and communication skills to include written and verbal
- Strong leadership and team building skills

- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
