Cloud Platform Engineer – Terraform & Database Infrastructure

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Terraform, cloud networking, managed database infrastructure and Python to support enterprise cloud platforms and application teams.

This role focuses on building, maintaining and troubleshooting reusable cloud infrastructure, supporting managed database services, and helping application teams integrate with shared cloud capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking and connectivity issues while contributing to production-grade infrastructure-as-code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and support reusable Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Provision, configure and troubleshoot managed database services, including PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Diagnose and resolve cloud networking issues involving routing, DNS, connectivity, firewalls and network security.
  • Support cloud security and encryption capabilities, including Key Vault and customer-managed keys (CMK).
  • Develop automation and supporting tools using Python.
  • Work with GitHub, source control repositories and CI/CD engineering processes.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, database connectivity and shared platform service issues.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to support cloud platform integration and service consumption.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and contribute to platform reliability, automation and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications – Must Have

  • Strong production-level Terraform experience, including infrastructure provisioning, reusable modules and maintenance.
  • Strong cloud networking expertise, including routing, DNS, connectivity, network security and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on managed database infrastructure experience, including provisioning, configuration, security and connectivity (PostgreSQL or similar).
  • Experience with cloud security and encryption, including Key Vault and customer-managed keys (CMK).
  • Strong GitHub experience, including repositories, source control and collaborative development.
  • Hands-on Python scripting and automation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and platform issues.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application teams and production cloud environments.

Nice to Have

  • Go (Golang) development experience.
  • GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Kubernetes or container platform experience.
  • Development of reusable enterprise cloud infrastructure modules.
  • Experience supporting large-scale or regulated enterprise environments.

Ideal Candidate

A technically strong, hands-on Cloud Platform / Infrastructure Engineer with deep Terraform expertise and practical experience supporting cloud networking, managed databases, security and automation.

The successful candidate will be comfortable writing infrastructure code, diagnosing production issues, working directly with application teams and independently delivering reliable cloud platform solutions.
