We are seeking an experienced Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA) to lead business architecture, requirements, and functional solution design for enterprise Pega transformation initiatives within the banking and financial services domain.
The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business needs into scalable Pega solutions, well-defined requirements, and prioritized delivery backlogs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Pega features and prioritized backlogs.
- Define current-state and future-state processes, journey maps, business rules, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
- Partner with Product Owners, Pega System Architects, and development teams to align functional designs with enterprise architecture and delivery standards.
- Configure and validate workflows, case types, UI components, data pages, data models, and integrations.
- Support Pega Constellation-based modernization initiatives.
- Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, controls, and enhanced customer experiences.
- Ensure adherence to Pega Guardrails, governance standards, and delivery best practices.
- Manage Jira and Kanban structures and participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and dependency/risk tracking.
- Support system integration testing, UAT, defect triage, release readiness, deployment, and business validation.
- Collaborate with onsite, nearshore, and offshore teams while communicating project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 8–10 years of hands-on Pega PRPC experience.
- Experience across Pega 7.x/8.x and Pega Infinity 23.x/24.x/25.x.
- 8+ years of Banking and Financial Services experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in AML/KYC, compliance, customer due diligence, or related operations.
- Pega Certified Lead Business Architect (CLBA) certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with Pega Constellation UI, Pega Blueprint, Case Management, workflow automation, decisioning, and business rules.
- Strong knowledge of business process modeling, journey mapping, requirements elicitation, user stories, use cases, gap analysis, and process reengineering.
- Working knowledge of Pega flows, UI rules, data pages, correspondence, data models, and REST/SOAP integrations.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Jira, Kanban, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT.
- Strong understanding of banking operations including AML/KYC, compliance, onboarding, investigations, disputes, and customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pega Certified Business Architect (PCBA).
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA).
- Experience with Smart Investigate and Smart Dispute.
- Experience delivering enterprise workflow, case management, and globally distributed programs.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale banking, compliance, workflow, and case management solutions.
