SAS Viya System Administrator

A career as a SAS Viya System Administrator within the Cross-Functional Solutions, Acceleration and Data (STAD) team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in the administration and operation of SAS analytical platforms. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the evolution of our data environment through your expertise in platform administration, operations automation, and analytical technologies.
Your Role

• Administer SAS 9.3 and SAS Viya environments, including access management, permissions, roles, data connections, and application configurations.
• Perform operational activities required to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the analytical platform.
• Contribute to SAS Viya migration initiatives by supporting the configuration and maintenance of various environments.
• Automate recurring processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
• Analyze production incidents and contribute to their resolution in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Document procedures, standards, and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and operational sustainability.
  

Your Team
Within the STAD (Cross-Functional Solutions, Acceleration and Data) sector, you will report to the Senior Director, Analytical Asset Management. You will work in a technology-driven environment at the heart of the migration program from SAS 9.3 to SAS Viya.
Your role directly supports migration, automation, and platform operations initiatives while ensuring the operational activities required to support migration teams and business units.
You will collaborate closely with multiple areas of expertise, including development, platform, infrastructure, security, and business teams. You will serve as a key point of reference for the administration, configuration, security, and operational support of the SAS platform in an environment where autonomy, rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement are essential.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role related to data technologies, analytical platforms, or application administration.
• Strong knowledge of SAS environments, including SAS Base, SQL, Enterprise Guide, and/or SAS Viya.
• Experience in platform administration, application support, or technology operations.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS and source code management tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with Linux or Unix environments.
• Experience working in Agile environments and with collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Python and comfort using AI-powered tools and technologies.
