A career as
a Senior Advisor in Estate Planning at National Bank Financial (NBF) primarily
involves supporting NBF clients and Investment Advisors (IAs) with their estate
planning needs by providing general or specific information. In other
words, it's a rare 100% consulting position without the reception or
drafting of notarial acts! The mission of the department is to offer
high-quality expertise and services in succession, retirement, and taxation.
Your Role
- Become one of the key
references in estate planning for the client advisory team of one of the
largest asset management firms in Quebec!
- Based in the Quebec region offices of NBF, you will
collaborate with your colleagues (financial and estate planners) to
support the region's IAs and clients in estate planning.
- Conduct client interviews,
establish a trust relationship with them, and draft detailed estate
planning recommendations tailored to each high-net-worth client’s needs.
- Prepare and deliver training
sessions on estate planning to investment advisors.
- Identify and develop business
opportunities for all services and products offered by National Bank
Financial.
- Stay at the forefront of new
developments in your field to determine the directions to follow to
continue evolving processes, systems, and methods in a perspective of
continuous improvement.
- Understand business issues and,
above all, participate in the development of practical solutions.
Prerequisites
- Member of the Barreau or of the
Chambre des notaires du Québec
- 10
years of relevant experience - Relevant designation (e.g., CPA or Tax Specialist) is considered an asset
- In-depth knowledge of estate
planning concepts, including succession law, trusts, and administration of
the property of others
- Significant experience in an
expert advisory role
- Ability to build strong
professional relationships with various types of professionals (investment
advisors, internal and external tax specialists, financial planners, etc.)
- Skills
in simplifying complex information - Ability to travel regularly within the region and provide their own transportation
