Senior AI Developer

A career as a Senior AI Developer within the Wealth Management and Capital Markets team at National Bank means directly contributing to the evolution of our digital platforms by developing and integrating new artificial intelligence capabilities. This role allows you to make a tangible impact on our organization through your expertise in software development, cloud technologies, and generative AI.

Your role

• Develop and integrate artificial intelligence and generative AI capabilities into Wealth Management and Capital Markets digital platforms.
• Design services, APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, as well as user experiences using React and TypeScript.
• Integrate digital applications with artificial intelligence services, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, and intelligent agents.
• Develop and operationalize solutions leveraging AWS and its generative AI capabilities, in collaboration with the Solution Designer and specialized teams.
• Automate testing and continuous integration and deployment processes using GitHub and GitHub Actions, while contributing to solution security, observability, and performance.
• Share your expertise through code reviews and proofs of concept, and contribute to continuously improving code quality and the team’s engineering practices.

Your team

The Wealth Management sector is made up of more than 1,000 specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the forefront of technology, and continuously improve processes.

Within Wealth Management and Capital Markets, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for strategic digital platforms and will report to the Senior Manager, Asset Management. You’ll work closely with Solution Designers, developers, architects, artificial intelligence specialists, cybersecurity specialists, and business partners.

Your role will focus particularly on the technical implementation and integration of new artificial intelligence capabilities, from experimentation through operationalization and production deployment.

Prerequisites

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, along with several years of relevant software development experience.
• Have solid development experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript, as well as experience designing and integrating APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Have experience with AWS and a strong understanding of generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, and intelligent agents; knowledge of AWS Bedrock and AWS Bedrock AgentCore is an asset.
• Be proficient with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and DevSecOps practices.
• Have experience with automated testing and best practices related to code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Demonstrate autonomy, thoroughness, and a collaborative mindset, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges in a rapidly evolving technology environment.
