About us
We are NDA Consulting, a PEO authorized structural and geo-structural engineering firm in Oakville, Ontario, part of NDA, delivering structural engineering since 1997. We design and review buildings, shoring, foundations and earth-retention systems for developers, contractors and engineering firms across Canada and the US.
What you'll do
- Design and analyze concrete, steel, timber and masonry building structures from concept to construction drawings
- Prepare calculations, design reports and drawing mark-ups; coordinate with our Revit/Tekla team
- Carry out independent design reviews for engineering-firm and developer clients
- Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings and support site reviews when needed
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of structural design experience in consulting
- P.Eng. with PEO, or eligible to obtain it
- Working knowledge of OBC, NBC, CSA A23.3, S16 and O86; ETABS, SAFE, RAM or similar
- Clear written English and the ability to work independently to deadlines

Responsibilities
Design and analyze building structures made of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry, and prepare calculations, reports, and drawing mark-ups in coordination with the Revit/Tekla team. Conduct independent design reviews, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and support site reviews as needed.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and at least five years of structural design experience in consulting are required. Candidates must hold a P.Eng. license with PEO or be eligible to obtain one, have working knowledge of relevant Ontario and Canadian building codes and standards and structural analysis software, and communicate clearly in written English.
