Position

  • 0.05 Permanent Prep Teacher Vincent Massey

Required Teaching Qualifications

  • A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
  • A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Primary/Junior Qualifications

Position Criteria

  • Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
  • Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
  • Evidence of understanding of varied learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
  • Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
  • Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work
  • Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication

Responsibilities

Teach in a permanent 0.05 prep teacher position at Vincent Massey Public School, supporting student learning through curriculum-aligned instruction and assessment. Contribute to whole-school literacy and numeracy, support varied learners including at-risk students, and use technology and Edsby to document and evaluate student work and communicate with guardians.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate and registration, with Primary/Junior qualifications. The role also requires knowledge of Ministry curriculum and assessment documents, experience with Apple devices and software, and the ability to support diverse learners, contribute to literacy and numeracy, integrate technology, work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and use Edsby.
