The NNDSB invites applications for the following LTO position

immediate until early return of the teacher.

Position

  • Primary/Junior/Intermediate Prep

Required Teaching Qualifications

  • A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
  • A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Primary/Junior/Intermediate Qualifications

Position Criteria

  • Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
  • Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
  • Evidence of understanding of varied learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
  • Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
  • Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work
  • Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication

Responsibilities

Teach in a Primary/Junior/Intermediate prep position and support student learning, including literacy and numeracy, across the school. Use technology to document and evaluate student work, support varied learners, and communicate with students’ guardians through EdSby.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate and a valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers, with Primary/Junior/Intermediate qualifications.
