About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, McKesson Specialty Health, the Senior Financial Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and business performance analysis across the organization. This position is responsible for providing actionable financial insights that inform strategic and operational decision-making, driving process improvements through data analytics, automation, and leveraging modern finance technologies.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to facilitate budgeting, forecasting, month-end activities, management reporting, and strategic finance initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to influence financial strategies, enhance reporting accuracy, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Qualifications

Educationally, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. A CPA designation, either completed or actively pursued, is highly preferred. Candidates should have between 3 to 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or similar financial analysis roles. Proven experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting is essential.

Technical proficiency is required, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also necessary to effectively convey financial insights and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly financial results, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet reports to assess organizational performance.
Develop recurring and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and performance analyses to support business decision-making.
Monitor budget-to-actual variances, identify financial risks, and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate issues.
Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting activities, including scenario planning and financial modeling to project future performance.
Participate in month-end close activities, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data.
Partner with business leaders to deliver financial insights that inform operational and strategic decisions.
Collaborate with corporate finance teams to ensure accurate reflection of transactions within SAP and other financial systems.
Leverage Power BI, Excel, automation tools, and analytics platforms to enhance reporting efficiency and business intelligence capabilities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and planning activities, implementing best practices and automation solutions.
Support financial audits, special projects, and strategic initiatives to ensure compliance and drive organizational growth.

Compensation is influenced by factors such as individual performance, experience, skills, and market conditions. The pay range for this position is between $81,500 and $108,600, with potential additional incentives such as annual bonuses or long-term incentives based on performance and organizational goals.
