About the Cybersecurity Analyst - Infrastructure role

Reporting to the Manager of Cybersecurity and Compliance, the Cybersecurity Analyst - Infrastructure will focus around Identity and Endpoint Management to maintain system operations for ANBL and Cannabis NB (corporate head office and 70+ retail locations).
The Cybersecurity Analyst- Infrastructure will help the Cybersecurity team to secure the infrastructure through vulnerability management, secure configuration and implementing best practices. Cybersecurity Analyst – Infrastructure will work closely with infrastructure team to satisfy cybersecurity requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience in vulnerability management, including identification, assessment, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting using enterprise ticketing systems. Ability to effectively communicate cybersecurity risks, remediation plans, and status update to leadership teams, business owners, and technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including KQL development, analytics tuning, incident investigation, and automation. Strong experience with Microsoft Defender XDR, including Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, and Cloud Apps.
- Identity Management & Access control: Advanced configuration and management of Active Directory (AD), Azure Active Directory (AAD) and hybrid identity solutions. Expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) SCCM (System center configuration manager) and tools such as Autopilot for deploying configuring and securing devices.
- Identifying, scheduling, and managing software and hardware upgrades, software patches, and configurations. Managing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring system integrity, security, and accessibility.
- Multifactor authentication (MFA) & conditional access policies, implementation and troubleshooting of MFA, conditional access policies and Zero trust principles.
- Design and implementation of GPO for security, software deployments and end user configurations
- Managing the configuration of operating systems, and administration for workstations and point of sale end points
- PowerShell and scripting: automation of administrative tasks, system configurations, and bulk operations using advanced scripting techniques

What do you need to be successful?
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems and Security Plus Certificate.
- 7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations, Security Engineering, SOC, Infrastructure security or related technical roles such as Sr. Technical Analyst.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including KQL development, analytics tuning, incident investigation, and automation.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Defender XDR, including Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, and Cloud Apps.
- Practical experience administering Microsoft Intune compliance policies, device configurations, and security baselines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Proven experience managing enterprise vulnerability management and remediation programs.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, DLP, Information Protection, or data governance initiatives.
- Strong understanding of incident response processes, playbooks, and cyber resilience practices.
- Experience creating operational and executive dashboards using Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Would be an asset if you had:
- Security certifications such as CySA+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or security automation.
- Experience leading incident response activities or tabletop exercises.

Work location:
- The Retail Operations Centre is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
- The successful candidate must be based in New Brunswick; a hybrid work arrangement is possible.
- Semi-regular travel for meetings and project work may be required.
