Rainy River
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River mine, located adjacent to the Ontario/Minnesota border is 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.

About The Role

Position Reports To: Mine Operations Senior Supervisor
Position Overview
The Dispatch Supervisor serves as the central communication hub of the operation, receiving information from a variety of sources and ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent communication to the appropriate personnel.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining site safety by:
- Managing emergency calls and responses
- Handling fatigue callouts
- Communicating safety-critical information through site-wide all-call transmissions
- Ensuring important operational and safety information is shared promptly across the site
In addition to safety responsibilities, the Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the load and haul fleet to support operational efficiency. A key focus of the role is managing ore feed to the primary crusher and ensuring production targets are met safely and effectively.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, sound decision-making abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate company safety values and protocols through positive leadership.
- Validate delays and down codes based on time usage model.
- Monitor fleet utilization, advise Production Supervisors on possible improvements.
- Planning & executing continuous operation of haul fleet by managing operator breaks.
- Planning daily line ups.
- Support the Production Supervisors achieve targets set out in the daily plan.
- Housekeeping and maintaining clean work area.
- Coordinating & prioritizing repair of equipment with the maintenance team.
- Monitor schedules and advise Production supervisors of any gaps.
- Populate daily reports, for supervisors, General Supervisors, and Superintendent.
- Monitor equipment utilization against targets and adjust as required.
- Monitors the crusher feed and adjusts fleet destinations to optimize throughput.
- Receive emergency calls and communicate to the appropriate on/off site resources.
- Other duties assigned by the site supervisory team.
This role is a temporary acting assignment. The successful candidate will receive an acting pay premium in addition to their regular base pay for the duration of the assignment.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of dispatching experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Fleet Management System experience, such as Wenco (preferred), CAT MineStar or PitRam
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Considerable knowledge and familiarily with mining equipment processes
- Demonstrated integrity and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong interest in continuous improvement
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task, adapt, and prioritize contending demands
