New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the design and implementation of complex, cross-functional business transformation initiatives within a large enterprise program. This role will manage projects across business, technology, operations, change, and benefits workstreams, with responsibility for end-to-end planning, execution, implementation, and transition to operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery across design and implementation phases, from initiation and planning through deployment and closeout.
- Facilitate working sessions, design reviews, planning sessions, and decision-making forums with business, technology, operations, change, benefits, and senior stakeholders.
- Define project problem statements, outcomes, scope, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, success measures, and delivery approaches.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, resource plans, RAID logs, decision logs, action registers, change requests, and governance materials.
- Estimate project effort, sequence activities, manage dependencies, and coordinate cross-functional teams including operations leads, SMEs, Business Analysts, designers, developers, testers, change practitioners, and vendors.
- Develop project forecasts, track actuals and variances, support accruals and financial reporting, and maintain project budget controls.
- Prepare and support business cases, funding requests, executive updates, steering committee materials, status reports, and other governance deliverables.
- Support current-state assessments, process mapping, requirements gathering, business and gap analysis, future-state process design, and operating model development.
- Coordinate with technology teams on development, configuration, testing, defect resolution, release planning, and implementation activities.
- Support change impact assessments, communications, training and learning materials, readiness planning, go-live support, and transition-to-operations activities.
- Support the development of project metrics, KPIs, dashboards, baseline measures, benefits targets, and post-implementation reporting.
- Establish deliverable expectations, review project work products, coordinate approvals, and maintain complete and auditable project documentation.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resource constraints, scope changes, and stakeholder alignment challenges.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and implement sustainable improvements to project and business processes.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of project management experience delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
- Experience leading technology-enabled business transformation, modernization, or operating model change initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget while managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
- Strong experience developing and managing project plans, schedules, milestones, financial forecasts, status reports, RAID logs, decision logs, and governance materials.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation experience, including working with project teams, operational stakeholders, senior leadership, and executive sponsors.
- Proven experience working within matrix organizations involving cross-functional teams, shared accountabilities, and multiple reporting relationships.
- Experience supporting business design and implementation, technology delivery, change management, go-live planning, and deployment activities.
- Experience in the insurance industry and/or public sector. Candidates with experience in both are strongly preferred.
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives and identifying and implementing sustainable operational improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise, decision-ready materials for leadership and operational audiences.
- Strong understanding of Lean and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies and experience working within hybrid delivery environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for project delivery, including work item management, milestone tracking, cross-team progress tracking, and stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while effectively collaborating within large cross-functional teams.
Preferred Requirements:
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Experience with end-to-end claims processes, workers' compensation, insurance operations, or disability management.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.
- Prosci or other organizational change management certification.
- Experience coaching project team members and contributing to project/program management standards and best practices.
