Senior Business Analyst (ID#5596)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the modernization of an Apprenticeship & Certification Management System within a provincial government environment.

The successful candidate will lead business analysis, requirements validation, process documentation, and functional testing for a system supporting apprenticeship registration, employment and training management, and certification. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to support system implementation, data migration, and user adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead business process and requirements validation through workshops, meetings, and interviews.
• Validate solution designs against business needs and operational processes.
• Develop workflows, use cases, requirements documents, user stories, business process models, and fit-gap analyses.
• Support system configuration, including user security settings.
• Develop ad hoc and customized reports based on business requirements.
• Guide business stakeholders through data cleansing and conversion activities.
• Identify data gaps and document migration rules, mappings, and validation requirements.
• Develop and execute test cases, coordinate functional testing, and identify and prioritize defects.
• Work with business and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Support business process changes, training activities, and system adoption.
• Prepare training materials and user guides for new and enhanced functionality.
• Complete project deliverables in accordance with established project management lifecycle standards.

Requirements

• Senior-level business analysis experience supporting system modernization or implementation projects.
• Experience leading requirements gathering and validation with business stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and interviews.
• Experience developing process models, workflows, use cases, user stories, and fit-gap analyses.
• Experience supporting system configuration and validating solutions against business requirements.
• Experience with data migration, including cleansing, conversion, mapping, and validation.
• Experience developing test cases, conducting functional testing, and supporting defect resolution.
• Experience preparing user guides and training materials and supporting business process changes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business representatives, project managers, and technical teams.
