Senior Business Analyst (ID#5597)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a part-time Senior Business Analyst to support two major network infrastructure and cybersecurity modernization initiatives within a large organization.

The successful candidate will provide business analysis and change management services supporting the implementation of Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), Secure Service Edge (SSE), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and the replacement of legacy VPN technologies.

This role requires a combination of strong business analysis capabilities, technical infrastructure project experience, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change management expertise.

The engagement is primarily remote, with occasional onsite attendance required in Surrey, BC.

Responsibilities

• Lead business requirements gathering, stakeholder assessments, and documentation for SD-WAN and SSE initiatives.
• Assess current-state network, security, connectivity, and operational processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop business requirements, process maps, workflows, and future-state process documentation.
• Support SD-WAN site assessments, connectivity modelling, pilot planning, and implementation activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams on SSE, ZTNA, Zero Trust security, VPN replacement, and integration with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Gather and document ServiceNow integration requirements and support the development of operational processes.
• Conduct change impact assessments and develop stakeholder communications, training, and adoption strategies.
• Coordinate testing activities, pilot deployments, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution.
• Support operational readiness, including support models, runbooks, knowledge articles, and knowledge transfer.
• Facilitate workshops and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project leadership.
• Support governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and transition-to-operations activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including significant involvement in large-scale IT infrastructure projects or technology transitions.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure, cybersecurity, or enterprise connectivity initiatives.
• Strong business requirements gathering, process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation skills.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated experience in organizational change management, including change impact assessments, communications, training, and adoption activities.
• Experience with contract analysis, vendor management, and coordination with third-party service providers.
• Familiarity with security, privacy, and regulatory compliance processes, including Security Threat Risk Assessments (STRA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Smartsheet, Excel, Jira, and related project management and documentation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SD-WAN, SSE/SASE, Zero Trust security, ZTNA, or enterprise VPN modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud security environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow integration, IT service management processes, and operational readiness.
• Previous experience supporting complex healthcare, public sector, or other regulated enterprise environments.
• Business Analysis certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting phased implementations, pilot deployments, and transition to operational support.
