Senior Oracle Developer (ID#5583)

New Value Solutions, a national IT Consulting firm, is recruiting experienced Senior .NET Developers to support Government of Canada IT consulting engagements focused on enterprise application development, systems modernization, application integration, and digital transformation.

We are seeking accomplished .NET Developers with demonstrated experience designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise applications using Microsoft development technologies within large, complex IT environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and related Microsoft development technologies.
• Develop and maintain web applications, RESTful APIs, web services, backend services, and enterprise application components.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into application designs, technical specifications, and software solutions.
• Develop business logic, data access components, and integrations with enterprise databases and external systems.
• Support application modernization, including migration from legacy .NET Framework applications to modern .NET platforms.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, maintainable, and high-performance application components.
• Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, database specialists, developers, and testing teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and data access components using SQL Server or comparable relational databases.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and application performance optimization.
• Implement secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, and application security controls.
• Support automated builds, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), version control, and application release processes.
• Investigate and resolve application defects, integration issues, and production incidents.
• Prepare technical designs, development specifications, application documentation, and implementation procedures.

Requirements:

• Extensive professional experience in C# and .NET application development within large enterprise or public sector IT environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and object-oriented programming.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise web applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and application integration components.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, application integration, and secure development practices.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL development, stored procedures, database integration, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Entity Framework, Entity Framework Core, or comparable object-relational mapping technologies.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Git, and modern software development tools.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, automated testing, code reviews, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, application troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Relevant post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience providing .NET development services to Government of Canada departments or agencies.
• Experience supporting large-scale public sector application modernization, enterprise systems implementation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience developing applications using modern .NET versions, including .NET 8 or later.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications developed using .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms, or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure API Management, or comparable cloud services.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications, microservices, and containerized solutions using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable tools.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular, React, Blazor, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or comparable security frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise integration technologies such as Azure Service Bus, messaging platforms, or API gateways.
• Experience working within formal government development, documentation, security, and change management frameworks.
• Existing Government of Canada Reliability Status or Secret security clearance.
