Your Impact
As an Underground Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of underground mobile mining equipment at Brucejack. Your expertise will help maximize equipment availability and support safe, efficient mining operations.
As Part of the Team, You Will
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on underground mobile equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Uphold Newmont's commitment to safety, responsibility, and operational excellence.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification.
- Experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment in mining or related industrial environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
- Underground mining experience and 5+ years of relevant experience are considered assets.
Your Work Environment
This is a fly-in/fly-out position based at Brucejack Gold Mine in northern British Columbia. You'll work alongside a skilled maintenance team in a modern underground mining operation while enjoying quality camp accommodations, recreational facilities, and a strong team culture.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $66.58/hr + 10% STIP. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
