Summary Of Duties

Supports the Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) by collecting, validating, integrating, analyzing and reporting on organizational, operational, audience and performance data from a variety of sources. Develops and maintains reports, dashboards and business-intelligence tools that support organizational reporting, performance measurement and KPI monitoring. Analyzes website traffic, user behaviour, audience acquisition, content performance and engagement trends, and prepares data-driven insights, indicators, summaries, analyses and reporting products that support performance measurement, audience understanding, organizational performance and planning.

Main Responsibilities

Develops, maintains and continuously improves business-intelligence reports, dashboards, analytical tools and performance-measurement products.
Collects, validates, analyzes and interprets organizational, operational, audience and performance data from multiple sources, identifying trends, variances and results across various business areas.
Monitors and reports on trends, results and key performance measures across the organization.
Produces regular, ad hoc and official reports, analyses and performance summaries for management and internal stakeholders.
Ensures business-intelligence data, reports and reporting methodologies are documented, accurate, consistent and reliable.
Identifies opportunities to improve reporting, data-visualization and BI tools.
Monitors and analyzes performance across NFB digital platforms, social media, third-party platforms and other audience-engagement channels.
Uses web analytics and other reporting tools to assess traffic, audience acquisition, user behaviour, content performance and engagement trends.
Supports digital-measurement and tracking requirements, including tagging standards and data-collection protocols, to enable reliable performance reporting.
Provides research, analysis and data-driven insights on audience, content, campaign, distribution and engagement performance, identifying trends, patterns, issues and areas requiring further investigation.
Supports reporting across audience, revenue, customer, market, distribution, production and other organizational-performance areas.
Monitors data quality and identifies opportunities to improve data integrity, consistency and reliability across reporting systems and data sources.
Documents data definitions, methodologies, issues and resolutions to ensure transparency, traceability and efficient use of data.
Identifies, investigates and resolves data-quality issues, and contributes to the implementation and continuous improvement of data-quality standards, governance practices and reporting processes.

Required Training, Knowledge And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Management or related field;
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, marketing analytics, digital-media analytics or data management;
Experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI or equivalent;
Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, including the ability to retrieve, interpret and explain website, audience, traffic, acquisition and engagement data;
Experience preparing analytical reports and presenting findings to management and business stakeholders;
Knowledge of data modelling, data systems, data quality and reporting methodologies;
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel and collaboration tools;
Bilingualism in the official languages (French and English), both orally and in writing.
