Original job description

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to expand and enhance their existing skills within a supportive and evolving musculoskeletal service.

You will hold an MSK caseload as well as holding clinics within the First Contact Physiotherapy Service. Within Angus we have a hub based model for First Contact with close contact with the GP surgeries. Within the service we have clinicians working within orthopaedics, rheumatology, specialist spinal service and also close contact with colleagues in the acute sector. We are a large and dynamic team structured to deliver quality care to our patients and also provide clinical supervision, leadership development opportunities and work closely with local Universities to provide student placements.

Angus Physiotherapy Service is part of an award winning Tayside wide musculoskeletal team leading the way in service development. Our clinicians are supported in developing the skills required to deliver quality care to our patients. This includes development of injection therapy, radiographic imaging and independent prescribing.

An active in-service training programme is in place both locally and the Angus Physiotherapy Service. Personal and Professional Development is structured via the TURAS appraisal system and knowledge and skills framework.

You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
