Mandatory Requirements
- Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division
- French as a Second Language Part 1
- Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions
- Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
- Proficient fluency in French as a Second Language
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
- Knowledge and experience in implementing balanced literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction
- Understanding and experience in implementing the CEFR approach into FSL instruction
- Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner
- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
- Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
- Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset

Responsibilities
Teach a Grade 7/8 Early French Immersion class, delivering French instruction in the mornings and English instruction in the afternoons. Use effective instructional, assessment, classroom management, and digital learning strategies to support student achievement and communicate with parents.
Requirements
Applicants must hold the basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division and French as a Second Language Part 1. Preferred qualifications include French fluency, relevant teaching experience, knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and CEFR approach, effective literacy and numeracy instruction, digital learning tools, and a commitment to teamwork and professional learning.
