Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support quality engineering activities for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in test automation using Java, Rest Assured, Selenium, and Appium, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across API, web, and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, and related testing tools.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing across application releases.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test coverage.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and traceability documentation.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using standard defect management tools.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Analyze test execution results, troubleshoot automation failures, and provide clear quality reports to stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong programming experience in Java for test automation development.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.
- Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation testing across Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience with Rest Assured for API automation and validation of RESTful services.
- Good understanding of test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, BDD, or similar tools.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database validation is preferred. General Skills Required:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise application testing is an asset.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments and containerized test execution is preferred.
- Exposure to performance, accessibility, or security testing concepts is an added advantage.
