Role Title: Senior UiPath RPA Engineer / Developer
Location: Downtown, Toronto, Canada – 3 days to office
Job Description
- Take ownership of an existing unattended UiPath automation that reads email and Excel intake and creates sourcing requests in SAP Ariba. This is a highly leadership-visible procurement initiative.
- Assess the existing workflows quickly, find the root causes of failures (duplicate processing, missed email attachments, downstream Ariba transaction errors), and implement durable fixes. The process currently has roughly a 70% error rate.
- Strengthen reliability using REFramework and enterprise RPA design patterns, including exception handling, retries, logging, error recovery, and duplicate prevention.
- Manage and monitor unattended execution in UiPath Orchestrator, covering triggers, queues and jobs, logs, and issue resolution.
- Test thoroughly (unit, integration, regression, and exception-path) and document technical changes, dependencies, and support runbooks.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, partnering with business and technology stakeholders. Provide production stabilization and recommend architecture improvements before the solution scales to a wider user base.
3 Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on UiPath development (Studio and REFramework) with proven experience building, debugging, and supporting enterprise-grade unattended automations in production.
- UiPath Orchestrator and unattended robot execution, plus strong exception handling, retry, logging, and duplicate-prevention (idempotency) design.
- Email (Outlook) and Excel processing automation, with the ability to troubleshoot
