Job Title: DevOps Manager
Brampton, ON L6Y 5S5-Onsite
Job Overview: Client is helping the client modernize and strengthen its platform ecosystem to support business growth and innovation. You will play a key role in driving platform improvements, promoting engineering best practices, and delivering solutions that enhance productivity and reliability and experience working in a Retail environment.
Devops Requirements:
- Retail domain experience is required particularly within large-scale digital, e-commerce, retail technology, or customer-facing platform environments.
- Platform engineering with strong cloud infrastructure fundamentals - Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Networking, Compute, Storage, IAM/WIF, BigQuery, Cloud Logging)
- Development proficiency in Golang and Python - for platform tooling, automation, and microservices
- GitLab - CI/CD pipelines, repo administration at scale
- Terraform - IaC authoring and management across many projects/teams
- Kubernetes - hands-on operational and architectural depth (GitOps/ArgoCD, RBAC, custom controllers)
- Team handling - proven experience managing and growing a distributed engineering team
- Experience with OpenTelemetry collector fleet management & OpenTelemetry in general
- Observability stack experience (Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, PagerDuty)
- Exposure to AIOps/FinOps practices
- Experience with Backstage or other internal developer platforms
