Location: Brampton, ON L6Y 5S - 4 days onsite per week
Job Description:
DevOps Requirements:
- Platform engineering with strong cloud infrastructure fundamentals - Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Networking, Compute, Storage, IAM/WIF, BigQuery, Cloud Logging).
- Development proficiency in Golang and Python - for platform tooling, automation, and microservices.
- GitLab - CI/CD pipelines, repo administration at scale.
- Terraform - IaC authoring and management across many projects/teams.
- Kubernetes - hands-on operational and architectural depth (GitOps/ArgoCD, RBAC, custom controllers).
- Team handling - proven experience managing and growing a distributed engineering team.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry collector fleet management & OpenTelemetry in general.
- Observability stack experience (Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, PagerDuty)
- Exposure to AIOps/FinOps practices.
- Experience with Backstage or other internal developer platforms.

Responsibilities
Lead and grow a distributed engineering team while overseeing platform engineering and cloud infrastructure. Guide the development and operation of platform tooling, automation, CI/CD, Kubernetes environments, and observability systems.
Requirements
Requires strong Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes expertise, proficiency in Golang and Python, and experience with GitLab and Terraform at scale. The role also calls for distributed team leadership, OpenTelemetry and observability experience, and exposure to AIOps, FinOps, and internal developer platforms.
