My client is a growing Collingwood- and Thornbury-Ontario based public accounting firm where your expertise makes a real difference.

About the Role

They are looking to fill a new hands-on Manager role to help provide professional accounting services to a variety of clients, primarily owner-operated and NPOs. You will also be providing leadership and management to the staff.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to take the next step in his/her accounting career and values working in an office where what you do, matters.

VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office)

You must have a valid Ontario CPA license (ACCA or US CPA is not accepted)

Responsibilities

Efficiently prepare year-end engagements and tax returns for your clients in a variety of industries.
Perform audits, prepare working papers and financial statements per regulatory standards.
Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions.
Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team.

Qualifications

You are a licensed CPA IN ONTARIO (ACCA, CPA US, etc. does not count).
You have 5+ years of assurance experience working for a CANADIAN public accounting firm, supporting private owner-managed businesses and NPOs.
Working knowledge of agricultural & real estate and development clients/industry would be an asset.
You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Pay range and compensation package

Salary up to $120k
Up to 10% annual bonus
Paid CPA and PD fees
Commission on new client acquisitions
Flexible hours
Employee health benefits plan
3% RRSP matching
Fridays off in July & August*
Generous paid time off (up to 4 weeks)

*Please note that candidates must be flexible to work overtime during peak business periods, with overtime compensated as Fridays off during July and August.
