Original job description

Our client is a well-established Airdrie-based firm specializing in modular oil and gas processing facilities. They're seeking experienced structural designers to join their engineering team immediately. This is a hands-on production role working within a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment alongside piping, process, and mechanical teams.

Responsibilities:

Design and detail structural steel skids, pipe racks, supports, and platforms using CADWorx Structure
Produce construction-ready drawings including GAs, connection details, and BOMs
Coordinate with piping, mechanical, and civil disciplines through the design lifecycle
Participate in 3D model reviews and incorporate multi-discipline feedback
Check drawings and provide technical direction to junior staff

Experience

Proficiency in CADWorx Structure (3D modelling and 2D drawing production)
5+ years of structural design/drafting experience for intermediate; 8+ years for senior
Background in oil and gas, gas processing, heavy oil, modular fabrication, or industrial plant design
Solid understanding of structural steel design, connection detailing, and skid fabrication requirements
Eligible to work in Canada; able to commute to Airdrie daily.

Relevant experience in oil and gas, gas processing, heavy oil, modular fabrication, or industrial plant design is required, along with knowledge of structural steel, connection detailing, and skid fabrication; candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and able to commute to Airdrie daily.
