Job Title: Static Guard

Job Type: Part Time

Hours of Work : 0-24 hours

Wage: 18.55 per hour

Location: Multiple locations in Sault Ste. Marie

Reports to: Operations Manager

NORPRO Security Ltd. is looking for independent and motivated individuals to join our team as Static Guards. Norpro Security Ltd. offers a wide range of security services in Northern Ontario. Our security group administers stand-alone and integrated services to clients ranging from one-time security guards to the complete package that utilizes all of our services. We are proud to have many First Nation partnerships and successful business relations.

Valid Security Guard Licence
Valid First Aid / CPR Certification
Clear Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check
Legal eligibility to work in Canada

Class G or G2 driver's licence is an asset. Experince with loss prevention is an asset.

Duties And Responsibilities

Patrol designated property to monitor and prevent intrusion, damage, hazards, and breaches of security.
Observe, identify, and report incidents at assigned client sites and will be responsible for the security and safety of client’s properties.
Respond to alarms.
Operate monitoring equipment and complex security cameras.
Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
Remain in compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance.
Write and submit security reports.
Ensure all incident/accident reports are recorded accurately and submitted to the Manager as they occur.
Must be able to lift and carry and move 50 pounds regularly.

Other related duties as requested.

Preferred

Class G or G2 Driver’s Licence
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Demonstrated proficiency with computers and Microsoft programs.
Above average English oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend for extended periods;reach with hands and arms;talk and listen on a regular basis. Must be able to perform under pressure, concentrate for a prolonged period and able to work long hours under stressful conditions. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with difficult staff, other persons.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned properties, monitor security equipment, respond to alarms and emergencies, and help protect the safety of people and client premises. Document and report incidents accurately, follow company standards and applicable regulations, and perform other related duties as requested.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Security Guard Licence and First Aid/CPR certification, be legally eligible to work in Canada, and pass a Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check. A Class G or G2 driver's licence, loss-prevention experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, computer proficiency, strong English communication, and the ability to meet physical and demanding work conditions are preferred or advantageous.
