FACULTY OF HEALTH

NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re looking for a term Instructor to join our Faculty of Health team in our Practical Nurse program. This is a 12 month term role.

Graduates of NorQuest College’s Practical Nurse program are also difference makers in terms of the health care that Albertans receive. Our students prepare for their clinical experiences with theory and hands-on learning in multiple modes of delivery, and we are proud of the varied and robust learning experiences in our programs. We utilize low and high-fidelity simulation to augment the learner experience, providing students with a safe learning environment to practice and reflect.

Our instructors take pride in making a positive impact on the lives of the students they teach. You will join a collaborative academic community that thrives on energy, motivation, and dedication to the successes of both our students and colleagues.

Our students come to us with the goals of improving their lives and the lives of those around them. Join us and help them achieve their goals.

Ensure students acquire the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required for safe and competent practice.

Provide skill demonstrations, supervise practice, assess competency, and deliver formative and summative feedback in accordance with program and college policies.

Supervise, mentor, and support students during clinical experiences, maintaining accurate grades, records, and reports of student progress.

Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that promotes equity, diversity, student engagement, and success.

Demonstrate professional conduct and adhere to health and safety, program, and institutional policies, maintaining all required professional certifications.

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, committees, and program initiatives, and travel within the Greater Edmonton area as required for clinical instruction.
