Original job description

This is an exciting time to join our team. As we continue to grow, we are looking for talented professionals who are ready to contribute, collaborate with exceptional colleagues, and help shape the future of the built environment. If you are looking for a place where your expertise will be valued, your career can grow, and your work will make a difference, we invite you to explore what is possible with us.

We empower our employees to choose where they work whether remotely, from home or from one of our office locations because we believe flexibility, trust, and collaboration drive great results.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Applications Developer to lead the design and development of enterprise application solutions that improve how our business operates. As the senior technical expert on our Business Applications team, you will design and develop complex integrations, create scalable solutions, and implement technologies involving AI services and platforms to support enterprise-wide initiatives.

Working closely with business leaders, solution architects, and developers, you will solve complex technical challenges while helping shape our application strategy and mentoring the next generation of developers.

How You Will Make an Impact

Designing and delivering complex integrations, APIs, and enterprise application solutions across multiple business systems.
Designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that support business growth and digital transformation.
Creating workflow automation, robotic process automation (RPA), and AI-enabled initiatives that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
Evaluating emerging technologies, develop proof-of-concept solutions, and recommend innovative approaches that deliver business value.
Supporting and maintaining integration standards, reusable components, and development best practices that improve quality and consistency.
Ensuring enterprise applications are reliable, secure, well monitored, and optimized for long-term performance.
Mentoring developers through technical leadership, code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing while serving as the technical escalation point for complex initiatives.

What You Will Bring to the Team

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
5–7 years of progressive experience developing enterprise applications, integrations, or business solutions.
Experience designing and delivering complex integration solutions across multiple enterprise systems.
Advanced knowledge of integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Azure Integration Services.
Strong programming skills using Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar languages.
Experience with REST APIs, microservices, cloud platforms and enterprise application architecture.
Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), security best practices, and enterprise authentication technologies.
Experience with AI-enabled technologies or integrating AI services into business applications is considered an asset.
Experience working as Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role, or experience working directly with those roles.
Demonstrated ability to mentor technical teams and drive development best practices.

We are:

The spaces we design and the technology we embrace shape how people live, work, learn, and connect. As an employee-owned, integrated Architecture and Engineering company, you will collaborate with talented professionals on projects that make a lasting impact on communities across Canada, the US, and the UK.

At NORR we are committed to innovation, advancing sustainable design and helping our clients reduce environmental impact, and shaping a net-zero future. We invest in our employees by fostering continuous learning, encouraging innovative thinking, and creating opportunities to solve complex challenges, grow professionally and build meaningful careers.

The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as education, experience, internal equity and skills.
